Magaliesburg Accommodation

Bushtrail is a tranquil property of 75 hectares situated in the foothills of the Magaliesberg. Our main activity is an environmental field centre and holiday camp for children. We can accommodate 80 children, sleeping in bungalows on bunk beds. Our holiday camps are run for 8 days usually starting on the first Saturday of the holiday until the following Saturday.

At the foot of the ancient Magaliesburg Mountain range where once elephant had roamed, 70km from Johannesburg in the Western Transvaal, lies an unique experience in African hospitality. The lodge has five individually decorated double storey thatched cottages, each sleeping 2 - 4 people.

Some 16km from Magaliesburg and 300m off the R24 to Rustenburg, situated in a tranquil valley facing the Magaliesburg Mountains (an hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria) is the peaceful and picturesque Big Creek Guest Lodge. The lodge is built on a 17 hectare portion of the original Boschfontein farm, which varies from rocky kopjies to a quiet stream under weeping willow trees.

Situated on the Plumari Private Game Reserve in the Magaliesburg, just over an hour from Johannesburg or Pretoria, Askari Lodge offers guests a memorable Big 5 wildlife experience within a malaria free environment. The reserve is set within a pristine wilderness area of over 4000 hectares with natural African bushveld and an abundance of flora, fauna, birdlife and wildlife.
